My camera and I mistook Sunday for the dig day! Whoops! This meant three hours or so of digging and weeding alone, and being a bit stunned (as per usual) at how much progress had been made the day before. Highlights included…

Lush French marigolds and beet root. One of our great struggles is proving to be the problem of attracting bees and other insects to the plot. These marigolds are part of the effort, but they haven’t flowered yet… If they did, word on the street is that their scent might ward off pests, too! Such an awesome flower. Come on, marigolds!
